  • 1. Why should I study both in Singapore and in India?

    The course delivery is modelled to study in Singapore and India to primarily cut down on the cost, and still provide a quality international program.

  • 2. Is the internship compulsory and does it come with the course?

    No, this is only an additional component and will help the student with an International exposure working as an intern. It is not a part of the course and is optional. But we recommend that you take it up as this is an opportunity that you should make use of.

  • 3. Are the faculties involved with the course delivery in India trained for this model?

    Yes, in fact the same faculty in MDIS who are trained for this program model will fly-in from Singapore for the lectures in India.

  • 4. Does the fee for the internship include the food & accommodation expenses?

    No, the fee indicated is only towards tuition and does not include food & accommodation.

  • 5. Tell us about the unique features of the one year twinning MBA programme. What is its USP?

    This is not a twinning program. The candidate gets to study in two countries (Singapore and India) . The degree as well as the courseware (syllabus) is that of University of Sunderland, UK. The affordable cost of the program and the internship in Wall Street are the USP’s. The course assessment is 100% assignment based. There are no examinations.

  • 6. What are the eligibility criteria for admission to this course?

    A pass in any Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in English in Grade X and at least 6 months professional work experience.

  • 7. What is the total intake / seats for this course? Are there any specializations available?

    The total intake is 30 and there are no specializations. The course will cover topics in Project management, Financial management, Marketing, International business, global corporate strategy etc.,

  • 8. How many intakes do you have in a year?

    There are three intakes in a year in Jan, May and Sep.

  • 9. Tell us about the career prospects after completion of this programme? What are the job profiles and starting salary one can expect?

    The candidate gets an international degree recognized anywhere in the world. The candidate can certainly look for openings at the level of senior manager in any MNC and a starting salary of upwards of 6 lacs per annum.

    Since the course assessment is assignment based and is practical oriented, working professionals will gain immensely from the global exposure.

  • 11. What is the difference between doing MBA abroad v/s twinning programme?

    As already mentioned, this is not a twinning program. This is an International degree which is globally recognized and is equivalent to doing any MBA abroad.

    There are no scholarships as the course in itself is made very affordable as one chooses this pathway of getting to do it in Singapore and in India.

  • 13. Tell us about the campus life at MDIS Singapore? Academics, Hostel facility, extra-curricular activities, etc.

    The hostel is a 15-storey structure with separate accommodations for girls and boys, having twin, triple and quad sharing rooms. There is a fully equipped gym and laundry attached.

    Yes. The student gets to do an Internship in Wall Street, NYC, USA. But this is not part of the course and is optional. This internship comes at a cost. (See attached flyer for details)

  • 15. Do you provide any campus placement assistance?

    Yes, on successful completion of the program, Vels will provide assistance to the candidate in finding placements in MNC’s.

  • 16. Is the one-year course recognized in India? Is it on par with PGDM or MBA?

    Yes... It is a globally recognized degree and corporates in India readily recruit the candidates due to the International exposure that the candidate gets and is considered on par with PGDM or MBA offered by premier B-schools in India.
